Dona Paula: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar expired at his private residence at Dona Paula near here on Sunday.
President of India Ram Nath Kovind tweeted “Extremely sorry to hear of the passing of Shri Manohar Parrikar , chief minister of Goa, after an illness borne with fortitude and dignity. An epitome of integrity and dedication in public life, his service to the people of Goa and India will not be forgotten,” President tweeted from his official handle.
Last couple of days, Parrikar was unwell and was kept on life support system since late last night.
His condition worsened since Saturday morning and he remained critical and finally passed away on Sunday evening.
Parrikar who was ailing with pancreatic disease was unwell since February 2018.
