Gujarat: The Additional District court at Bhachau in Gujarat on Saturday posted the hearing of anticipatory bail filed by Canacona-based Ligorio Desouza in connection with the inter-state liquor smuggling case to Monday, October 9.
Desouza had filed anticipatory bail petition before the court on October 3, after Gujarat police, twice arrived in Goa to trace the accused at his residence and the factory at Canacona.
Gujarat police have filed case under the Gujarat (Bombay) Prohibition Act, 1949.
A senior police officer from Gujarat said that four accused including Anil Maruti Tarde, Hitendrasinh Jorubha Vaghela, Dipesh Punjabhai Patani and one more person. Ligorio Desouza is the fifth accused in this case.
Ligorio has been booked under section 65 (a), 65 (e), 116 (b), 81, 83, 98 (2) of the said Act.
