In a swift and coordinated effort, the Vasco Railway Police successfully traced and rescued a 15-year-old girl, reported kidnapped from Delhi, at Vasco Railway Station.
The case surfaced on Sunday when PSI Yaspal Yadav of South Campus Police Station, Delhi, informed Vasco Railway Police about an offence registered under Cr. No. 38/25 U/s 137(ii) of the BNS concerning the kidnapping of the minor girl. PSI Yadav disclosed that the girl’s mobile phone location pointed to Vasco Railway Station.
Acting promptly, PSI Talpi and the Vasco Railway Police team patrolled the station premises. During the operation, they located the missing girl in the company of a 25-year-old man. The police detained both individuals, safely lodging the minor girl at Apna Ghar Merces late that night.
The 25-year-old man was handed over to the South Campus Police Station team on Monday. Arrangements are in progress to transfer custody of the rescued girl from Apna Ghar Merces to the Delhi Police for further investigation.
