Panaji: AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday arrived in Goa on a three-day visit, even as the party expressed its willingness to form an alliance with opposition parties to defeat the BJP ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.
Kejriwal arrived in Goa on Thursday and was welcomed by party leaders. The AAP said that he is on a three-day visit to the state.
While details of his Goa tour have not been revealed, sources said that Kejriwal is expected to address a press conference in Panaji on Friday afternoon.
Sources also said that he will travel across North Goa as part of his official visit.
Meanwhile, in an official statement issued here, the Aam Aadmi Party announced that it is open to forming an alliance with opposition parties and has authorised State President Valmiki Naik, Working President Gerson Gomes, and Organisational Secretary Prashant Naik to hold alliance talks on behalf of the party.
AAP leaders said that the party’s fight is against the BJP and that the ideological battle to save democracy and protect Goa must be fought together.
They urged all opposition parties to set aside personal ambitions and unite, not merely to come to power, but to stop the BJP from destroying Goa and to safeguard the state’s future.
