Arambol: Police have arrested 27-year-old Iran national for raping 24-year-old Indian girl at Arambol beach village in North Goa.
Pernem Police arrested Majid Azizi, Iran national on Tuesday for raping a girl from Kolkatta who was holidaying in Goa on January 21.
“The victim in her complaint has alleged that the accused took her to his rented room at Arambol and raped her,” a police spokesman said.
“The accused was arrested on January 28 under section 371 of IPC, soon after the girl filed complaint against him,” the spokesman added.
The accused was earlier booked by Goa Police’s Anti Narcotic Cell under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and was out on the bail.
