Panaji : India Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa informed that heavy rainfall is likely to continue in the state of Goa on 28 and 29 of September.
“Yesterday’s Deep Depression over South Odisha-Chhattisgarh weakened into a Depression, moved west-northwestwards &lay centered at 0830 hrs IST of 28th September 2021over southwest Vidarbha & neighbourhood. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and weaken into a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area during next 06 hours,” said IMD Goa.
With west-north westwards movement of system, Heavy rainfall (rainfall>6.4cm in 24hrs) very likely at one or two places over North & South Goa districts on 28th&29th September. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea on 28th & 29th.

The system is likely to emerge into the northeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Gujarat coast around 30th September and there is the likelihood for the system to further intensity over the northeast Arabian Sea during the subsequent 24 hours
