Panaji: The state government has come out with a scheme for engaging the services of retired academicians having Ph.D degree. This will be done to improve the quality of education in Goa.
The senior academicians wisdom and knowledge will be also utilized for bettering the government departments, government, autonomous bodies, government corporates. government societies and government institutions etc. Their expertise will also be used for overhaul of diverse spheres of knowledge, research, development and so on.
Previously in September 2017 the Union Human Resource minister had considered bringing back retired teachers not more than 75 years old who had a “good teaching record”.
