Panaji: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for TCP Chandrakant Kavlekar today told House that government will review all the approvals granted for zone change under Section 16B of TCP Act.
He said that of the total 5360 applications receives, 3805 were within 500 sq mtrs area, 485 applications are between 5001 sq mtrs to 1000 sq mtrs and above 1000 sq mtrs, the applications received are 1060.
Kavlekar said that during the recent meeting held on July 10, TCP Board granted final approval to 30 applicants for zone change.
Kavlekar expressed surprise that of the total 5360 applications received for zone change, only 233 were granted provisional approvals.
“I will need some time to study the section. I have taken over just a week back and needs time to understand. I will review all the permissions granted,” Kavlekar said.
Kavlekar was responding to question tabled by BJP MLA Wilfred D’Sa.
