Panaji: Gomantak Mazdoor Sangh (GMS) has condemned the action of State government to invoke Essential Management Services Act (ESMA) in the government hospitals.
GMS General Secretary Puti Gaonkar said that the government has all the time to invoke ESMA but no time to issue orders of payment of revised patients care allowance as per seventh pay commission.
“State Government is paying crores of ruppee to contractors but they do not want to implement the recommendation of pay commission,” Gaonkar alleged.
“Now class IV employees will decide their future course of action after 31/12/19 as health minister in his press had told that patient care allowance will be resolved by December 2019 due to which we had decided on 07/12/19 that is on Saturday to postpone our three days strike in first week of January 20,” he said.
