Panaji: Goa Forward Party has began intensive drive led by its youth leader Raj Malik to collect relief material for Kerala flood victims. The workers of the party are visiting almost every household and establishments to collect the relief material.
The drive, which was undertaken by Goa Youth Forward, which saw the volunteers travelling across Panaji and Mapusa constituency to collect the relief material.
Malik said that the drive will be held across the state and Goa Youth Forward will try to collect maximum amount of material. He said that they have been receiving good response from the people who have faith in Goa Forward Party.
“People are willing to donate on their own. We are taking anything possible from them. We have seen how enthusiastically people are donating,” he said.
GFP was the first state based political party that has given a call for the people to donate for the relief fund. The party leaders will personally hand over the relief material to district administration in Kerala to help the people ravaged with the floods.
The relief material is expected to be sent from Goa this weekend.
