Margao: In a bid to tackle the crucial issue of unemployment under the Modi regime, Goa Youth Congress President Joel Andrade on Friday evening, at a presser held at the South District Congress Office, announced that the Congress party has a five-guarantee plan for the youth of Goa and India, that includes a promise to create more than thirty lakh jobs across the country through various employment creation plans and job security for the youth in Goa once the party comes to power at the centre.
Flanked by State VP Kenishia Menezes and Youth Congress leader Michelle Fernandes, Andrade announced the five guarantees –
Bharti Bharosa—Ensuring the creation of thirty lakh central government jobs with a transparent job calendar. Pehli Naukri Paaki—Granting the Right to Apprenticeship for one year to every graduate /diploma holder, with an annual remuneration of Rs one lakh. No More Paper Leaks—Implement strict laws against paper leaks and establish a foolproof process for conducting all government exams. Social Security for gig workers – Introduction of a new law providing social Security for hardworking gig economy workers. Yuva Roshni – Allocation of a Rs 5000 crore corpus to empower aspiring start-up entrepreneurs at the district level.
One of the biggest problems our youth face today is unemployment, and if we have to solve this problem, we have to join hands and fight this 2024 challenge together, Andrade said.
