“The forms to avail three free cylinders will be available in panchayats and with local MLAs from September 5. From September 9, beneficiaries will start getting Rs 3,000 in their bank accounts,” he said.
The chief minister said the scheme was part of the promise made by him during the 2022 Assembly elections to provide three free LPG cylinders to people.
Beneficiaries will have to submit copies of their bank passbook, Aadhaar card and voter identity card to avail the benefit, he said.
Sawant said the financial assistance would enable eligible beneficiaries to meet the cost of three LPG cylinders under the scheme.
