Goa police informs HC that they are withdrawing summons issued to Kejriwal
Panaji: Goa Police on Wednesday submitted before the Goa Bench of Bombay High Court that they will withdraw the summons issued to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear before them on April 27.
Kejriwal had challenged the summons issued to him by Pernem Police to appear before the Investigating Officer on April 27 in connection with the defacement of property case.
The case was heard by division bench comprising of Justices Mahesh Sonak and Valmiki Menezes on Wednesday during which the police submitted to the Court that they are going to withdraw the summons issued to Kejriwal.
Advocate Subodh Kantak, the lawyer representing Kejriwal, said that the petition was disposed by the Bench after police submitted that they are going to withdraw the summons.
Pernem police had issued summons to Kejriwal on April 14 asking to appear before the investigating officer in connection with the defacement of property case.
