Panaji: The Goa Crime Branch on Friday night busted an IPL betting module at Porvorim, arresting three persons from Telangana.
A Goa Police spokesman said that the raid was conducted at an apartment in the Porvorim locality near Panaji during late Friday night. He stated that the three accused were caught red-handed while accepting online bets on the ongoing T20 Tata IPL 2025 cricket match between Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians.
The accused have been identified as Tigulla Shrinivas (39), Gaddala Kiran Kumar (37), and Annathapuram Shravankumar Chary (36), all hailing from Telangana.
Police have seized their mobile phones, a laptop, and other gaming accessories worth ₹1.80 lakh from the accused.
