Panaji, Oct 7 – Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Monday expressed happiness over the celebration of Rashtriya Poshan Maah across all Anganwadi centres in the state, calling it a strong reflection of Goa’s collective commitment to nutrition and public health.
In a post on social media, Rane said the initiative under the Poshan Abhiyaan symbolises the state’s resolve to build a healthier and stronger Goa by ensuring that every child and mother receives adequate nutrition and care.
He said a pledge was also taken during the celebration to adopt wholesome, nutritious food habits for a healthier tomorrow.
Rane extended his appreciation to Anganwadi workers and officials for their tireless efforts at the grassroots level, noting that their dedication is helping shape a Suposhit Goa — a true example of Suposhit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat.
The Rashtriya Poshan Maah is observed every September across India under the government’s Poshan Abhiyaan, which aims to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers through community participation and awareness.
