GAWADA KUNBI VELIP AND DHANGAR FEDERATION (GAKUVED) Congratulate Babu Gaonkar from Sanguem for clinching 1st Gold medal for Goa in “Modern Pentathlon (laser run) “ game ,in on-going 37th National Games at Goa .Laser run involves pistol shooting and running. Babu Gaonkar is from Varangani -Netravali village-Sanguem, belonging to tribal farmer family.
He has brought Laurel to Goa and its proud moment for entire Goa. In spite of living in remote area like Netravali village he has overcome all challenges and proved that person from the indigenous community can excel at national level if provided proper guidance and support. He has set example and he is inspiration to all youths specially those staying in tribal villages who feel that they can’t compete at national level due to lack of support. We GAKUVED FEDERATION wish him all the best and expect him to excel and get gold medal at international level.
We Appeal The Sports Authority Of Goa Specially Sports Minister Govind Gaude & Government of Goa to provide him all possible financial support and backing so that he get opportunity at international level to perform and bring gold medal for nation.
We also congratulate his parents, family members and his coach for his success.
All such talented youths need all round support to groom skills, perform-win and bring laurels to Goa and nation.
