Margao: Vijai Sardesai, President of Goa Forward Party, has made it clear that for now he has suspended alliance talks with Congress, however like minded political forces will give alternative to defeat ‘Ravanrajya of BJP’.

Referring to the statement of Congress veteran P Chidambaram, who is senior election observer for the Goa Assembly polls, Vijai Sardesai said that his party has also stopped talks of alliance with Congress.
P Chidambaram had earlier said that Congress will not discuss alliance now.

” I want to tell people that we have also stopped the talks with Congress. We have suspended the talks with Congress for now.” Sardesai reiterated.

Sardesai had earlier asked Congress to come to a conclusion over alliance before Chaturthi, so the right message could have been sent to the people gathering for the festival.

“Congress is now reorganising all its blocks. In one single constituency they have inducted 3 to 4 ticket aspirants. Forget about having an alliance with other parties, finally will Congress be able to have an alliance of its own members.” Sardesai questioned.

Sardesai has urged people of Goa, not get disappointed with the current political happening as alternative will take place.

Fatorda MLA Sardesai said that people of Goa feels that alliance should take place to defeat BJP. “We are hopeful of getting victories in coming assembly election and for that we have already started meeting people.”
