New Delhi: Senior IAS officer R.K. Srivastava, who recently resigned as Goa State Election Commissioner and Padam Dutt Sharma, then Deputyy Registrar of Co-operative Societies, New Delhi are to undergo a two years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs 35,000 each. Three private persons, Subhash Chander, Mayank Goswami and Ashwani Sharma to undergo four years rigorous imprisonment with different fines. They have been convicted for having fraudulently revived the defunct Shree Radhakrishna co-op Group Housing Society Ltd on the basis of false & fabricated documents.

Srivastav had been IAS officer of Arunanchal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre, batch of 1984.
The sentence was passed by The Special Judge for CBI Cases, New Delhi. In pursuance of Orders of Delhi High Court, CBI had registered a case on 26.10.2006 against Subhash Chander (private person) and others on the allegations that the accused entered into criminal conspiracy with officials of Co-operative Societies, New Delhi in the matter of revival of Shree Radhakrishna Co-op group housing society ltd, Delhi on the basis of false/forged/bogus document.
