Panaji, January 10, 2025: The Directorate of Tribal Welfare has appealed to Scheduled Tribe Students to take advantage of various schemes that aim to provide financial assistance to the students.
In the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe students studying in class V to X (State Sponsored), regular students of an institution belonging to the ST community, studying in Std. V to Std. X, with an annual family income not exceeding Rs. 3,00,000/-, can apply.
In the Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana, regular students of an institution, belonging to the ST community and studying post-matriculation courses in recognized institutions, with an annual family income not exceeding Rs. 5,00,000/-, are eligible. Similarly, in the Merit-Based Awards for students belonging to the ST community who have passed Std. X and XII in recognized institutions with a minimum of 50% marks, and with an annual family income not exceeding Rs. 5,00,000/-, are eligible for benefits.
In Home Nursing, regular students of an institution belonging to the ST community, who were born in Goa and domiciled in Goa for at least 15 years, with an annual family income not exceeding Rs. 6,00,000/-, can apply.
The Chief Minister’s Scholarship Portal (https://cmscholarship.goa.gov.in) receives applications for schemes implemented by the Directorate of Tribal Welfare.
Eligibility criteria for the schemes are available on (https://www.tribalwelfare.goa.gov.in).
The last date for receiving applications for these four schemes on the portal has been extended until 15th January 2025.
