Panaji: Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar while urging the tourists not to do drugs during their stay in Goa, instead asked them to drink cashew Feni, a local brew.
Ajgaonkar was responding to a question on frequent sale of drugs in the coastal state during a pres conference on Wednesday.
“We have taken precaution that drugs is not introduced in Electronic Dance Music Festivals,” the minister said adding that he had instructed police that there should not be any chaotic situation during such festivals.
“Enjoy the music, drink cashew feni, but do not indulge in drugs,” Ajgaonkar said. The minister said that the tourism department treats tourists with dignity but if they violate law of land , they would be dealt with strictly.
