Panaji: Revolutionary Goans allege that the Pernem MLA and Deputy Chief Minister of Goa, Manohar Babu Ajgaonkar along with the BJP-led government is fooling the people of Pernem in the name of major projects coming up in the constituency since the 2012 Assembly elections.
One can recall that on Tuesday, Manohar Babu Ajgaonkar made a press statement that there are many projects coming up in Pernem Constituency like Ayush Hospital, Mopa Airport, Pernem Stadium where the locals will be first preference when it comes to employment.
The Revolutionary Goans Chief, Manoj Parab pointed out that for the past several years, the BJP and Congress government has been fooling people in the name of the mega projects. Every year, crores of rupees have been wasted just to make feasibility reports.
“The claims made by the Deputy Chief Minister on Tuesday were nothing but a bundle of lies. These major projects he is harping about is nothing but loot of public money. We know how much of these jobs are reserved for people of Goan origin and how many for outsiders. These mega projects are barely planned for the benefit of the locals. There was no governance in the state, and he has failed to show how different he is from the earlier regimes. It was time to stop blaming the past regimes and start working as there was not much time left for the next assembly elections,” said Manoj.
While Revolutionary Goans leader from Pernem, Sunayana Gawde highlighted that these projects the Pernem MLA is talking about are in the pipeline since the 2012 Assembly Elections.
“How many more elections will they fight in the name of Mopa Airport and the Ayush Hospital. First of all the Mopa airport is an environmental disaster. Till date how many locals have got jobs at Mopa. The contractor and even trucks plying for them are outsiders. Please stop fooling the people of Pernem,” stated Gawde.

  1. POGO Bill is a clear cut Discrimination Bill and against the Indian Constitution & Indian Culture. Speaking against Non-Goans in front of Goans is a clear cut Politics of Hates. Politics of Hates has no place in a Peaceful Goa. Goans don’t want violence, please, RG.
