COVID-19 test on all the domestic air passengers who gave their samples came negative: Vishwajit Rane

Panaji:  All the 50 domestic  air travelers who got themselves tested for COVID-19 infection at Goa airport on Monday have tested negative, State health minister Vishwajit Rane.

Three flights including two from Delhi and one from Bengaluru had brought in 91 passengers to Goa on Monday during the first day of its operation.

Rane said that total 50 air passengers who arrived at Goa airport had given their swab for testing after their arrival in the state, all the samples have tested negative.

He said that rest of the 41 passengers opted for monitored home quarantine of 14 days.

Meanwhile, Rane said that two of the 48 COVID-19 patients who were currently being treated at ESI hospital have recovered.

Rane said that both the patients have been shifted to monitored quarantine facility where they will be observed for further period.

He said that the total number of active patients in Goa who are found to have COVID-19 infection has been reduced to 46.
