Covid-19 Health survey covered 4.57 lakh households

Porvorim: Goa government’s special community health survey that was conducted to ascertain spread of COVID-19 infection in the state had covered 4.57 lakh households.

State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in a written reply tabled on the floor of the House during the ongoing Budget Session said that during the survey 5,271 persons were found with Influenza like illness, which amounted to 1.51 per cent of the surveyed people.

The survey was conducted between April 13 to 15, 2020 when COVID-19 was at its peak.

Rane said that during the survey, 740 people were found to be symptomatic of which 720 were tested, but none of them were found positive for coronavirus infection.
