Panaji: Goa on Saturday continued reporting spike in the COVID-19 cases with 547 new people testing positive taking the tally to 16,553, health department official said.
The official said that 433 people recovered on Saturday with total 12729 people recovered from the infection till date in the state since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The government had tested 2830 samples during the day of which 547 returned positive.
Three people succumbed to the infection Saturday including 70-year-old man, 30-year-old man and 68-year-old man. Total 178 people have died due to COVID-19 infection in the state, till date.
