COVID-19: 96 new infections, two deaths

Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 96 and reached 50,239 on Tuesday,  a health department official said.

The death toll touched 725 as two  of the  patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 48,567 with 88 of them getting discharge on Tuesday. The number of active cases is now 947, the official said.

“A total of 1888 samples were tested during the day,” he added.
