Panaji: Placing forth their grievances with respect to employment, Children of Freedom Fighters Association (CFFA) wrote to chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant seeking compensation by providing one time settlement to those who have crossed the age bar of employment.
The CFFA in it letter demanded to consider them in the latest 10,000 jobs announced by the CM, stating that pending list of unemployed children of freedom fighters will further not increase and that it can be solved once and for all.
The CFFA also mentioned that there are several children of freedom fighters who are finding it difficult to maintain their family due to unemployment.
The letter stated that, “In August 2013, the state government had framed a scheme for providing employment to the children of freedom fighters in the government offices wherein within February 2015 the government would clear the entire list of children of freedom fighters who have availed for the facility of government jobs under the scheme. However, the scheme was extended first, till February 2017 and for the second time till February 28, 2019.”
Asking the government not to extend the scheme anymore, the CFFA have demanded to provide them jobs and give a one time settlement.
