COVID-19: 44 new infections, 46 recovered, cases touching 1,000 mark

Panaji:  Goa on Thursday reported 44 new COVID-19 infections, while 46 people who were tested positive were discharged from various covidcare centres.

This is the third day that the state reported more recoveries compared to the fresh COVID-19 cases.

State Health department official said that 44 fresh cases of COVID-19 infection were reported on Thursday while 46 people had recovered.

Goa has reported two deaths due to COVID-19     infection so far.

Official said that out of 2772 samples that were tested, 1628 are negative while report of 1100 samples is awaited.

With the reporting of fresh cases on Thursday, the number of confirmed cases has touched 995 mark with 658 active cases.
