Panaji : The Hon’ble the Chief Justice and other Hon’ble Judges of the Administrative Committee, after taking into account the present situation of COVID-19 cases and the views of stakeholders, in supersession of earlier circulars, have decided that all the District and Subordinate Courts in the States of Goa shall start with regular physical functioning from August 2, 2021.
All the District & subordinate courts wll function as they were functioning during the pre-pandemic days, with 100% attendance of staff.
All the Bar rooms and canteens will be opened. “If the Principal District & Sessions Judges / Head of the Establishments come across any single breach of any Covid-19 protocol, he may close down such Bar Room/s or Canteen/s” said the circular.
The circular also noted that, “Only those advocates, witnesses, accused persons and party-in-persons whose matters are listed on that day’s board or whose presence is required by the Court for any specific purpose like verification etc. will be permitted to have access in the Court building”.
The judicial working timing for morning sessions is from 10 AM to 1 PM & Afternoon 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM whereas, the office working timing is 9.30 AM to 1 PM for morning and 2 Pm to 5.30 PM for afternoon session.
All the safety/precautionary measures set forth by the Central / State Government and all Covid-19 appropriate behavior / protocols to be followed scrupulously.This Circular shall come in force w.e.f. 02.08.2021 and shall remain in force until further order.
