Margao – Congress Party has accepted the recently concluded Zilla Panchayat election results as “Motivation” to reach out to the people of Goa more aggressively. We have accepted the results of the recently concluded Zilla Panchayat elections with humility and we will work hard to ensure that we regain the confidence of Goans stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
He was addressing the Media via Video Telecast at the Congress house in Panjim today. Congress General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar and North Goa District Congress President Vijay Bhike were also present.
The Santa Cruz ZP Member Shiny De Olivera, Ruby Harlarnkar (Aldona), Sudesh Kalangutkar (Chimbel), Prasad Chodankar (Mayem), Sangeeta Lingudkar (Anjuna), Pedrina Gracias (Penha de Franca), Vishal Volvoikar (Corlim), Ramesh Gaude (Honda), Lourenco Silveira (Calangute), Usha Mest (Nagargao) and Mukund Gaude (Usgao) were present.
Santacruz ZP member Shiny Oliveira was felicitated at the hands of Digambar Kamat for her victory.
I am sitting with the winner as well as the loosers of the Zilla Panchayat Elections from North Goa. Our candidates will continue to be the voice of the people and we all are committed to protect the Identity of Goa. The people of Goa should not get influenced with the divisive politics of the BJP in association with their A, B & C teams and allies stated Digambar Kamat.
We will continue to take up issues of Mhadei, Coal Handling, Three Linear Projects and other issues concerning common man Digambar Kamat said .
Digambar Kamat also stated that it is the collective responsibility of all to accept Victory and Defeat and clarified that Congress Leadership collectively owns responsibility for results of ZP polls.
