Panaji: With only a week left for the polling, Congress South Goa candidate Capt Viriato Fernandes’ another audio clip is making rounds. This time, he is heard attacking senior politician Churchill Alemao accusing him of being involved in Hawala.
Similar audio clip had surfaced last time, which was refused by Viriato as “doctored”.
The recent clip has a conversation between another person and Viriato in which the Congress candidate is heard accusing Churchill of being involved in Hawala transaction of the money looted through mining irregularities.
Series of Audio clips will be a major trouble for the Congress party which is hoping to defeat BJP’s Pallavi Dempo and RGP’s Rubert Pereira.
