Panaji- The entire world is fighting the grave threat of spread of Corona Virus by following lot of precautions, but the local BJP government headed by Dr. Pramod Sawant and his cabinet ministers are endangering lives of others by grossly violating the guidelines of wearing masks and maintaining distance while travelling in a vehicle, GPCC General Secretary Amarnath Panjikar said.
“The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Health Minister Vishawajit Rane, Tourism Minister Manohar alias Babu Ajgaonkar, Garbage Management Minister Michael Lobo, Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho were all seen violating the guidelines while coming out from the Cabinet Meeting held at Porvorim today. This is evident fron various videos and photos circulated on Social Media platforms,” Panjikar said.
CM Dr. Sawant, Michael Lobo, Vishawajit Rane & Mauvin Godinho were not wearing the mask and all of them alongwith Tourism Minister Babu Ajgaonkar violated the norms while seating in their vehicles.
The Government should immediately book all of them for violating the guidelines and take strict action against the CM and all the Ministers.
The experts have already stated that transmission probability of Covid virus is 70% from people who are not wearing masks. The social distancing norms are also very important to control spread of the virus.
It is unfortunate that CM who prefixes doctor before his name and his cabinet colleagues are violating the guidelines and setting very bad example before the people.
The Chief Minister and his Cabinet Ministers are playing with the lives of the people, more particularly endangering lives of their support staff like Security Guards, Drivers, Office Staff and others. We humbly appeal to all the support staff and their family members to take utmost precautions of your health and maintain safe distance from these irresponsible ministers.
The BJP is only interested in self glorification with advertisements and publicity. The BJP government is totally insensitive towards Common man and today’s incidence has once again brought it to the fore.
