Panaji: The personal email ID of Goa chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant was hacked on November 19, which was later restored, after a gap of four to five hours, a senior official said.
A senior government official said that the personal email ID of CM Dr Pramod Sawant was hacked by unidentified hacker on November 19 night.
“By the time, we realise that the email is hacked, it was morning. The Cyber Crime cell of Goa police immediately swung into action and his ID was restored after a gap of four to five hours,” the official said.
The ID was created on gmail account.
He said that while there is no “visible damage” to the email ID seen, the investigation has been initiated to track down the hacker and also access whether he has caused any damage.
