Old Goa: Amid the growing number of pilgrims arriving on foot at Old Goa for the exposition of the Holy Relics of St. Francis Xavier, the authorities have decided to increase the capacity to accommodate them.
Minister Aleixo Sequeira chaired a review meeting at the exposition venue on Monday. Sequeira said that the initial expectation was to have 1,000 pilgrims arriving on foot, but so far, 2,500 people have arrived.
The minister added that the capacity to accommodate them would be increased at Old Goa.
