Panaji: Following the series of allegations by Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte, Chief Minister’s Office has said that the he had not met Kapil Jhaveri recently.
In a press note released here, CMO has said “In continuation with the Press Note dated 17th August 2020 by this office, wherein it was stated that the photograph of CM Pramod Sawant with Kapil Jhaveri was taken during a courtesy call by the Bollywood Actor. It has come to light that MLA Rohan Khaunte has in a press conference stated that the said call on took place on 24th April 2020, on the birthday of CM.”
“This office refutes that the meeting took place on 24th April 2020 as the same picture was cropped and also posted on social media by Mr Jhaveri on earlier date, that is 2nd January 2020, the proof of which is enclosed. This proves that the said photograph has been posted several times on different dates. The MLA is requested to verify his statement, if true or otherwise.”
