Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant, who won from his traditional Sanquelim Assembly constituency, said that the BJP will form the next government.
He also said that few Independents and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) are in touch with the BJP to provide their support.
After trailing for initial rounds, Sawant managed to retain Sanquelim seat with margin of around 1,000 votes.
“We will win on more than 20 seats. If the numbers are required, there are Independents and MGP which is in touch with us,” he said.
The chief minister admitted that his reduced victory margin is certainly a cause of concern and he would be introspecting on it.
