CM Pramod Sawant calls on Union Ministers in Delhi

Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Tuesday held meetings with Union Ministers in the national capital to discuss State related matters. He was accompanied by BJP state president Shet Sadanand Tanavde.
Taking to twitter after his meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Sawant wrote, “Discussed about the progress of various National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects in Goa. Conveyed apprehensions of people regarding highway expansion in Anmod Ghat. Also sought his intervention for early completion of Sada-Varanapuri Highway works.”
The chief minister also called on Union Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution, in New Delhi Piyush Goyal.
In his meeting with Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel, Sawant discussed matters related to tourism promotion in the State, especially cultural tourism with support from the Centre. Sawant also invited Patel for the forthcoming 60th Goa Liberation Day celebration.
Later, the Chief Minister met Shandilya Giriraj Singh, Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and discussed various initiatives to scale up the production in fisheries and dairy sector in the State of Goa.
According to sources, the chief minister said he had healthy discussions, which will benefit in the overall development and growth of the State.
