CM orders inquiry into foreigners’ partying at Arambol

Pernem: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that he has sought detailed report from State police after pictures of foreigners partying at Arambol beach village in North Goa during lockdown were reported by media.

Sawant said that he has sought detailed report on the alleged incident of foreigners seen partying at Arambol beach village during lockdown time.

“I will go through the reports (to be submitted by police) and facts about it,” he said.

Police had swung into action on Saturday after social media and the news portals in the state carrying pictures about foreigners loitering around a Banyan tree at Arambol.

The tree is famous for the rave parties in the state’s Northern belt.
