Panaji: Tributes pour in for Dr Ram Manohar Lohia on his 43rd death anniversary.
Taking to twitter chief minister Pramod Sawant, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, and AYUSH minister (independent charge) Shripad Naik also paid respect to the late freedom fighter.
“Remembering the revolutionary, Dr. #RamManoharLohia on his Punyatithi. Dr. Lohia ignited the fire of patriotism among Goans, to fight for freedom from the barbaric Portuguese rule,” CM Sawant tweeted.
Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat wrote, “Tributes to Pioneer of Goa Liberation Movement Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia on his death anniversary today.”
Lauding Lohia’s contribution in Goa’s liberation, Minister Shripad Naik tweeted, “On his Punyatithi remembering freedom fighter and a  revolutionary leader  Dr. #RamManoharLohia. Dr. Lohia brought with him a new zeal and ignited feeling of patriotism among Goans who were under Portuguese rule.”
