BJP protests against Zardari’s statement in Goa

Panaji: Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Goa protested against the Pakistan’s External Affairs Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statement against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

The protestors including BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade, MLAs Daji Salkar, Sankalp Amonkar, former MP Narendra Sawaikar, former MLA Damodar Naik shouted slogans against Pakistan.

 

BJP Yuva Morcha’s Goa Unit President Sameer Mandrekar was also present for the protest along with his supporters.

 

Effigy of Zardari was burnt by the protestors on the city lane next to party’s head office in Panaji.

 

Addressing the gathering, Tanavade said that the protest has erupted in the entire country against the statement of Zardari. He said that Zardari’s statement indicates the frustration of Pakistan over the respect garnered by Indian Prime Minister across the globe.

 

The BJP leaders also presented memorandum to Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai against Zardari.
