Panaji: Congress Goa spokesman Amit Palekar told a press conference in Panaji that the BJP was effectively selling off Goa by altering its demography.
He said that the time has come for the government to respect the views of the people and halt such moves.
“There is already immense pressure on infrastructure, strain on natural resources, and the gradual erosion of village character and the environment. We strongly oppose such moves, which will ultimately lead to the sale of our land by the BJP, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, and the Revenue Department,” he said.
Palekar said that the BJP is selling Goa by offering “ek pe ek free.”
