Panaji: Amidst Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar’s health concerns, Bharatiya Janata party has asked all its Goa MLAs not to leave the State.
BJP had held meeting of its MLAs on Saturday evening to discuss the political scenario emerging out of health situation of the CM.
“It was specifically told to all the MLAs that we should not leave the State. The members of alliance partners would also be told not to travel out of State for some time,” a senior party functionary said.
The meeting expressed concerns over the health condition of Parrikar, who has been ailing since February last year.
Meanwhile, BJP has asked people not to believe in the rumours that are being spread through social in the current political situation.
“Our BJP leadership in Delhi and Goa are very strong, stable and are already thinking on Goa political transit phase,” party’s State Media Coordinator Sandesh Sadhale said in a statement released on Sunday.
“We will come out of all things with greater success. Do not believe on any rumours or any news getting spread via social media,” he said.
Parrikar-led government’s alliance partners – Goa Forward Party and Independents – have assured that they are firmly with the government. Group of six legislators including three each from Goa Forward Party and Independents had visited the residence of the CM.
