Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar has smelt a rat in the news surrounding entry of former CM Digambar Kamat in BJP.
Chodankar has questioned “how come BJP has become so democratic about Digambar’s entry in their party, that the issue was openly discussed during the meeting on Saturday.”
“When Dayanand Sopte and Subhash Shirodkar were inducted in the party, no one discussed about it. Everyone was kept in the dark. And now they are discussing about entry of Digambar in BJP. Since when BJP has become so democratic?,” he reacted.
Congress leader said that the entire rumour mongering surrounding Digambar is to spoil name of the former Chief minister and the party.
He also said that the BJP was trying to scare its alliance partners through such tricks.
“BJP’s dirty trick department is working overtime to malign name of Congress and Digambar,” he said adding that the former Chief Minister had discussed about his Delhi visit with him and Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar on Saturday.
“BJP will now spread rumour about his entry in BJP and in next two days, their Margao mandal will issue statement opposing it. This is all pre-planned,” Chodankar said.
