Panaji:  Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today warned to take action against those employees who are not  punctual on duty. Sawant said that directions have already been issued to the heads of department to issue memos to all those employees who are regular late to office and also not dedicated towards the work.
“I have observed one thing. People look for government jobs because they don’t want to work or don’t want to be in time to office. This is a common attitude. They know, whether you work or not, you are entitled for VIth pay, VIIth pay commission,” Sawant said while addressing the Job Fair organized by the government. “But this will not be tolerated now. We have already started issuing memos to those who are not punctual or are showing lethargy towards work,” he said.
“If the situation continues, we would not hesitate even to send those employees home,” Chief Minister warned.
