Panaji: Union AYUSH minister Shripad Naik on Sunday said that the treatment has been prescribed in Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani as a promotive medicine against Coronavirus.

He said that his ministry is yet to claim that these medicines can cure Coronavirus, as they are yet to be scientifically validated.

“We have firmly said that though our medicine is not validated scientifically, it has been proved that Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani can be used as promotive medicines,” Naik said on Sunday.

He said that these medicines help  to treat respiratory system and increase the immunity.

The minister said that AYUSH can provide  preventive treatment for coronavirus.

“It can also be used for those who are already infected so that they can get the relief,” he said adding that there are few medicines in ayurveda and homeopathy that can be really useful for coronavirus.
