Panaji: Goa health authorities are still waiting for the results of the tests conducted on 48-year-old kerala woman who is admitted in Goa Medical college and hospital after being suspected for Coronavirus.
State Health department official said that the 48-year-old woman was having cough and cold, and was admitted in GMC’s isolation ward on Thursday.
The woman is originally from Kerala and was on Goa visit when she has been suspected to have been infected with Coronavirus.
“We have sent her sample for testing at Pune labouratory. Till the results are out, she will continue to be in the isolation facility,” he said.
She is the only patient currently admitted for suspicion of carrying Coronavirus, while 65 people continue to be in home quarantine.
Meanwhile, as per data available 14,875 passengers were screened at Goa airport including 344 who underwent screening on Sunday.
State government has set up 30-bed isolation ward at GMCH, 16 beds at sub district hospital at Chicalim, 12 at sub district hospital at Ponda and 12 at TB Hospital in Margao.
