Honda: After a day of protests outside Police Outpost at Honda demanding suspension of Police Inspector Sagar Ekoskar, there was a twist in a story on Thursday.
A group of villagers demanded reinstatment of PI Ekoskar while demanding action against former Honda Sarpanch Suresh Madkar. The villagers gathered outside Honda Police Outpost demanding that Ekoskar should be brought back on his duty.
Goa Police had sent Ekoskar on long leave on Wednesday initiating departmental inquiry against him for assaulting Madkar. The PI had confessed before the crowd that he had assaulted Madkar.
On Thursday, a group of villagers demanded that the investigation in the matter be taken over by Ekoskar. They alleged that Madkar and his family were involved in several assaults including one on a boy from Soliem village.
