Panaji: In a major relief to Goa, all the 48 samples of suspected COVID-19 patients drawn from the state and sent to testing at National Institute of Virology at Pune have tested negative.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane told on Thursday that all the samples have come negative. “The samples were sent for testing at NIV in Pune,” he said.
The samples were sent for testing earlier this week, he said.
Goa has reported five cases positive for coronavirus infection who are currently being treated at special COVID hospital.
The minister said that the condition of all the five patients is stable.
