Panaji: Aam Admi Party (AAP) on Thursday announced that they will be contesting in all the three assembly constituencies of Goa where by-elections are due on April 23.
AAP Goa General Secretary Pradeep Padgaonkar said that the party has already began the process to shortlist the candidates in all the three assembly constituencies for upcoming by-election.
Padgaonkar said that the party has strong base in all the three constituencies and is confident to clinche a victory.
He said that AAP is not in favour of by-elections as they put stress on the finances of the state. “But since the vacancies are existing and the party has base, we have decided to contest and win so that once for all there is full stop to this trend of resigning mid-term,” he said.
