Panaji: Around 10 lakh people in Goa have been benefitted with central government’s flagship ‘Pradhanmantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna,’ a senior BJP functionary said on Thursday.
Glenn Souza Ticlo, who is appointed as convenor of the committee formed by BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade to follow-up of Pradhanmantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, told reporters in Panaji, that 5.12 lakhs beneficiaries have been provided with 5kg of rice and 1 Kg of pulses across the state in the first Phase, while 5.44 lakh in the second.
The committee comprises of Premanand Mahambare, Ex-Sarpanch Co-Convenor, Goa State, Girish Uskaikar, ZP Member Convenor, North District, Arti Bandodkar – Ex-Sarpanch Co-convenor, North District and Suvarna Tendulkar, ZP President Convenor, South District.
Ticlo announced that the central government has extended this programme till November 2021. He said that the Phase III of this scheme would be unveiled from July 22, 2021.
