Verna: The department of Computer Engineering, Agnel Polytechnic, Verna organized a one day workshop
on “Python Programming” for the final year students of Computer Engineering. The main objective
of the workshop was to provide basic knowledge of Python. Python is an easy to learn, powerful
programming language. It can be used on a server to create web applications. Python has application
in web space , data analytics , scientific programming and scripting.
The Resource person for the workshop was the Head of Department of Computer Engineering , Dr.
Vijay Borges.
The program began with the introduction to Python programming language. Students had hands-on
sessions and implemented simple python programs. This course will be followed by advance python
course with applications for machine learning and other scientific applications.
Follow up courses would be open to faculty and students from other neighboring institutes for
higher learning.
